Meditation is something practiced by millions of people around the world. It has its roots in eastern culture, but in fact, it has also been whole-heartedly embraced in western societies for these benefits:

The Effects Of Meditation
You can quiet mental chaos and build your ability to concentrate. In short, maintaining your ability to be highly adaptive and think quickly, choosing your response to situations rather than reacting to them.
How To Meditate
Start by meditating twice a day for twenty minutes per sitting (even 5 min is good!)
Maybe at the start of the day and to close it -- or whenever you have time!!
Getting Started
If you're new to meditation, be patient; it takes time to train the mind to focus and settle. But the benefits of a healthier brain (and peaceful mind) can develop with continued practice and last for years to come!
