As the summer season approaches, I am guessing that you want to FEEL & LOOK your best, healthiest self. Right? 🙋🏼♀️
I know the feeling of overwhelm that can sometimes create! There's so much information out there and it can seem really exhausting to set goals (let alone achieve them, lol) before you even get started.
I want to show you my "hack" that is an oldie, but goodie, way to set a goal in a way that you CAN and are more likely to achieve.
👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
It's using the S.M.A.R.T. framework.
S.M.A.R.T. goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound objectives that give you a roadmap for success. In this post, I will be using weight loss as an example, to help you stay on track and make the most of your summer... but you can apply this method to literally ANY goal you have!!
I even applied this to my network marketing business and earned the top rank in 90 days, and the Millionaire Award in my first 11 months of my brand new business.
How to set S.M.A.R.T. Goals
Specific:
It's important to be specific about what you want to achieve. Instead of a general goal like "I want to lose weight," be more precise. For example, "I want to lose 10 pounds over the next three months." This clarity helps you focus your efforts and provides a clear target to work towards.
Measurable:
Measurable goals allow you to track your progress and stay motivated along the way. In the case of weight loss, you can measure your progress by regularly weighing yourself and keeping a record of your results. Breaking down your overall goal into smaller milestones, such as losing 2 pounds per month, makes it easier to stay motivated and celebrate your achievements.
Achievable:
Setting goals that are attainable is crucial for maintaining motivation and avoiding frustration. While it's essential to challenge yourself, setting unrealistic goals can lead to disappointment. Consider your current lifestyle, commitments, and resources when setting your weight loss goal. Aim for a target that pushes you slightly outside your comfort zone but is still realistically achievable within the given timeframe.
Relevant:
The relevance of your goal to your overall health and wellness journey is vital. Ensure that your weight loss goal aligns with your true objectives and values. For example, if your goal is to improve your overall fitness and well-being, weight loss may be just one component of a larger plan that includes movement, healthy eating, and the best supplements.
Time-bound:
Setting a deadline for your goal provides a sense of urgency and helps you stay focused. Specify a time frame for achieving your weight loss objective. For instance, "I want to lose 10 pounds within the next three months." Having a timeline creates accountability and ensures that you work consistently towards your goal.
Bonus TIP: set a reward for yourself when you hit your SMART goal... such as a pedicure, a massage, some fresh flowers, or a new pair of walking shoes!
Remember, your journey is unique, so adapt the S.M.A.R.T. approach to suit your needs!! Embrace the summer season - it's an opportunity for growth and transformation, and let S.M.A.R.T. goals be your guide towards a healthier you!!
