Have you ever heard of interstitial cystitis!?
It’s such a pain! Literally! I’m on year 4 after getting sick from mold.
According to Mayo Clinic, Interstitial cystitis signs and symptoms include:
Pain in your pelvis or between the vagina and anus in women
Pain between the scrotum and anus (perineum) in men
Chronic pelvic pain
A persistent, urgent need to urinate
Frequent urination, often of small amounts, throughout the day and night (up to 60 times a day)
Pain or discomfort while the bladder fills and relief after urinating
Pain during sex
Here are a few things to consider looking up and seeing if they are a good fit for your needs:
Quercetin:
Treatment of interstitial cystitis with a quercetin supplement 500mg twice a day: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11272677/Sandalwood Oil:
Massaging externally above the urinary bladder with this essential oil helps in treating interstitial cystitis naturally. The oil gets absorbed into the skin and gives relief from pain and swelling in the urinary bladder wall. I’m going to try sandalwood oil with DMSO to drive it in and reduce inflammation.
After researching IC this week, I was excited to find these suggested supplements and I just ordered them.
